I know I can't slow all this growing up down, but I do want to capture some of these perfect moments. Maiya is so cute and her personality is just amazing. Her goal in life is to make us laugh--and she does. Every mom wants her child to understand how special she is, you know realize she came from Heaven, etc. Well the other day Maiya did something really cute and I said, "Where did you come from?" She looked directly at me and said, "The D.I." The D.I. is a thrift store around here. Then today when I was laying her down for a nap, I kissed her and said, you're my little angel. She looked at me and said, "I not an angel . . . I just just kid."
I'm so grateful for my girls and every day I have to be with them.

The D.I. huh? Wonder if Salvation Army carries cute stuff like that? :) She is a crack up. Every time I think of Maiya I can see her flipping her little binkie around in her mouth with her tongue. Silly girl.
Oh my goodness, that is so cute and so funny. I wish that we had a video camera going during all the funny and sweet things that kids do. I would play them over and over again!
P.S. While going through some boxes, I found a letter you wrote Max right before his mission. You are so sweet.
I love you!
Heidi
You must buy really great stuff at DI!
Dear Anne,
I hope you don't mind but I took the liberty of asking your sweet parents for a way that I could make contact with you. When I found out that you had cancer, I could do nothing but cry. I honestly could not think of any one else who was and I'm sure still is as sweet as you. So I did the only thing I could do and got on my knees to pray for you. I want you to know you and your family are still in my prayers, you have been thought of so often. You were one of my absolute favorite people in jazz band. You were always such a good example of how a person should be. Thank you for that.
I am so glad to hear that your current status is good and that you're starting to feel more like yourself again. I'm sure that it helps, especially when you just want to be a wife and a mom. Your family is gorgeous. What absolutely beautiful girls! And your pictures are amazing, what a talent. Speaking of talents do you still play the piano much? It was always fun to talk music with you, and you were always so talented. I still remember staying in Moab with you, and Holly Whimpey's sister, I can't remember her name, is it Heidi? Anyway, that was a fun solo and ensemble competition. (I think there were a couple other girls, but I can't remember who stayed with us, did Nicole)?
I'm so glad that you are doing well right now. Please know that you and your family are in my prayers.
Love, Misty Kilburn
P.S. sorry if this isn't the right place to send a comment, I'm new to the bloggs.
Very cute!
that is funny. Miles thinks he lived at Burger King in the preexistence. I asked him that same question when he was 4- and he said, "I lived at Burger King-- only I didn't like it-- because Mama didn't pack me any snacks." It's funny the thought processes they have and how they answer so easily...and sometimes so proufoundly (though MIles' example is surely not one of them.)
Oh, loved your New Era article. Sarah sent it to me. I am sure it will be timely for many young people who need to make "the big decisions" about where they stand before they are actually in those tough situations.
