We have very mixed feelings about selling our home. This is our first home . . . the place we have had such life changing experiences. But we know it's the right time to sell. My goal right now is to get our family settled. That means closer to family and the possibility of building a home. For now we're moving to the farm house Ward's parents own. We'll rent it for now. (The plus side of this? A beautiful location. Close to family and help. Hardwood floors discovered under the old carpet. Old friends and new friends awaiting our arrival) Although we love our neighborhood and friends here, and even our house because of all the changes we made to it, this is the right thing to do.
So I'm posting a slideshow of all the improvements we've made to the house. Not for any reason except that this was a ton of work! And because of my illness not a lot of people have been able to see what we really did. We love this house now. We love our neighbors. We are really saddened to leave.

You did so many neat touches like the candle in the bathroom and the plant that has a frame around it. I love it! Did you do the tile in the upstairs bathroom? It all looks so nice. I hadn't realized that you had redone your fireplace. It looks very nice. You are a natural at this home remodeling thing. Everything looks great!
You are both amazing. It is a very nice home, with very nice people in it. I will miss it too.
I have had that same thought about our house so many times. We have put so much work into it that it really feels like apart of our family. I love it and although someday I would greatly love to be in a house not connected to anybody elses, I would still miss my little home. The pictures look so good by the way. I can't believe all that you did. Love you!
Amazing! Everything! I cannot believe all the wonderful changes you made in your home and yard in such a short period of time - AND with all that was going on in your lives! What an inspiration you are (in so many ways!) K. Arrington
If I actually had a house AND if it looked like yours does now, I wouldn't want to sell it either. It looks beautiful. And I love the big back yard, too. But, of course, new adverntures await in a new place. Good luck with the selling and moving.
You guys did a beautiful job, Anne. It's always hard to leave what we worked so hard for. It reminds me of all those poor pioneer families who had to build then leave then build again only to have to leave again. Not easy. But "when one door closes, somewhere He always opens a window."--or something like that. (Sound of Music)
Wow, you don't realize just how much work is done until it is posted back to back like that. My favorite is the fireplace and wood floor. I'm still amazed at the great job you both did.
Have a great day.
I love you!

Thanks for the tour. I have no idea how you keep up with a yard like that. It's so lush looking! I like those bookcases on either side of your fireplace-- and the mantle really is eye catching.
We'll be cheering for you that it can sell soon- because that's stressful, I am sure it will, it looks like a model home. Your great photos will allow you to keep it all in your close memory.
Anne, I love seeing all the pictures together. You guys have worked hard. I am especially impressed with the lovely back yard! Whoever moves in will be very lucky
It's so fun to see your home and your daily world. One thing that has shown brightly through your blog is your eye for beauty. It's because you are a beautiful person!
Wow, I love what you did to your house! Everything turned out beautifully. I hope the family that buys it can feel the time and love put into it. You guys are so amazing!
wow, I had no idea you guys had done so much. The nice thing is that you're experts now--the new house will be a breeze (right?) :-)
